To run QPIR13.EXE double click the

icon. You should see:

With the Quickpad IR powered on and the serial cable connected to the PC, press the following key sequence on the Quickpad: CTRL-U, I, CTRL-8, and F2. This will start the upgrade program.

At the PC, click the "Upgrade" button. A folder / file selection box will appear as shown below. Go to the desktop or folder where you saved the "qpm" file, and you should see the file listed similar to below.


Now select the desired qpm file, click "Open" and your upgrade will begin. When the upgrade is finished press the Power on/off key on the Quickpad and it will auto-initialize.

Once the new upgrade is installed you will be able to transfer files to and from your Quickpad IR, and do automatic backups and restores! Please see the file transfer instructions for details.

If your Quickpad IR has extended memory installed you can now install the required thesaurus files.
